Auckland Diocese Formation Weekend - 2006

There was a great response to the Auckland Formation this year. Held at Sacred heart College, there were 108 PFG Leaders ,and Group Members present. The theme 'Silver Boxes’ was incorporated in our opening prayer.

The programme commenced at 3.30 pm, with Brian Traynor CP presenting sessions on Family, The Church Today, and Generation X & Y prior to us convening to the dining room for some informal catching up and a meal. After the main course Brian presented the final session ‘Sport and Church’ prior top desert being served.

Formalities included acknowledging Billy and Jocelyn Uasike who have completed their term as Regional Co-ordinators.

The following from John and Rosie Crawford

‘We all left with a real buzz. The content and format was honest, informative, relevant and very enlightening. Because of the excellent turnout we took the opportunity of asking attendees to complete an evaluation form at the end of the evening to assist with our planning for future events. Without exception, the feedback was positive and complimentary of both content and presentation.

We are so grateful that the PFG Movement remains a priority for the Passionist Order, especially as we are painfully aware that the people resource is increasingly under pressure. The fact that we continue to receive excellent support in NZ both in terms of visits by our Passionist Priests, and in the quality of the excellent programmes, is both heartening and reassuring.

When you get the opportunity, please emphasise to the Passionists how much we value their ongoing work with us, and how successful the 2006 programme has been for us.
