Yizhak Frankenthau and Dr Rihab Isawii from Ramallah.

Dr. Isawii was not present. There was no message to indicate what had happened. I made the assumption that she had difficulty traveling from Ramallah because of the bombing in Tel Aviv.

Bereaved Parents – both Palestinians and Jews

Yizhak is a former businessman. His son was in the Israeli army who was kidnapped and murdered by Hamas in 94. Yizhak fought in the 1973 Yom Kippur war in Egypt

309 Jewish families of children killed and 200 + Palestinian families.

Project Shalom

50,000 phone calls since Nov 2002 Phone line 6364 A Jew is linked to a Palestinian and vice versa. If we continue the occupation it will destroy us.

Israel is a great country, great people who do terrible things. This is no different from the terrible things that non-Jews have done.

The Palestinians don’t have a state; they don’t have an economy; their suffering is 10 times worse than ours. I am completely against people using power against others.

So we brought the 2000 coffins to UN

To make peace, each must know the other’s red line.

Israelis Red Line: are against the return of the refugees.

Palestinians Red Line: demand sovereignty of Temple Mount.

Often when I go to the West Bank, I leave my will on the table so they won’t have to search for it.

Arafat said one month ago: “I’m ready to sign peace with Israel using the Clinton peace plan with sovereignty of the Temple Mount”

No mention of Right of Return.

We’re planning a Week of Hope and Peace in 2004 1000 people will come to Israel.
