The Christchurch Regional Team made a 'Pilgrimage' to Waihi Beach over the Waitangi Day 'long weekend

Recently our Christchurch Regional Co-ordinators decided to take up the challenge and visit the Passionist Family Group Office and stay a while with Directors Lynn & Rob Hill.
Starting with a Barbeque on the night of their arrival, there was an abundance of good humour. We were greeted with the sound of what appeared to be 'singing pilgrims' walking up the road (dressed for the occasion clothed in sheets - pilgrim style) They were singing their version of the servant song.

As well as much humour, there was also some quality time; some spent in planning and some reflecting on what their ministry meant to them and others - as Jesus said "see how they love one-another!".

Your challenge is ...if you choose to accept it ..."take you PFGM Regional Team on a pilgrimage to Waihi Beach and visit the Team here.!

Final night...

The Pilgrims arrive

Christchurch Regional’s Pilgrim Song
(to the Servant Song)

We are Pilgrims on a journey, brothers sisters on the road. We are here to have a good time, eat you out of house and home.We will eat when you are eating, when you drink we’ll drink with you. We will keep you up till all hours, even wake your neighbours too.

We will walk along the beach and have a latte in the cafe. We will take you out to dinner, and we’ll spend your petty cash.We are Pilgrims on a journey, brothers sisters on the road. We are from the Christchurch region, we are here to dump our load

If you thought that we were kidding, boy have we got news for you. We are going to resign, unless you show us a good time. We are Pilgrims on a journey, brothers sisters on the road. We came here and had a good time, ate you out of house and home.

The following sung at departure time

We did walk along the beach, and had a ski behind the boat. We did get a touch of sunburn, had some fun acting the goat. We’ve decided not to quit now, cause you’ve been so nice to us. We will keep on slogging for you, for the good of family groups.

Rob and Lynn you know we love you, you are two of the very best. Thanks for all your hospitality, now you both deserve a rest.
